Engolasters Lake

The view looking down on Encamp from the trail.
The Lake from both sides.

Wow, what an amazing view, but then there are a lot of nice views here.

The snowy path that shouldn't be taken in nice boots, but I only fell twice.

Okay so I decided to take a climb up the mountain. It wasn't exactly planned but I saw the trail so I took it. It would probably have been easier in hiking boots and if I had water and all but hey it was an adventure! My legs are not too happy with me but oh well, it was fun! Now that I know the way, I will have to go back up next Spring.

Christmas Parties

Okay, so here is a glimpse of three different parties I had this last week.

This is one of the Professors, I guess you could say he was either bored or feeling creative. It is amazing what you can do with a napkin!

This is Julie, the English Professor from Ireland opening a present.

This is a view of several of the professors

This was at the church, The Elder is the Giant from Stanley Idaho
Hector is trying to eat the brownies on my plate

These are just a few of my students at the party in my apartment. They liked my couch!

Juanma and Maikel infront of the elevator holding seven other students stuck between floors. It was the hilight of the evening.

The end of my trip in Italy

Me in front of the amazing Duomo
Me in front of the door of the Duomo, I know, I'm short.

I went to all major monuments and old churches. It was a very interesting place and beautiful.

So when you go to Milan you have to put your heel in this hole and do a 360.

Milan-galleria Vittorio Emanuele, which is by the Duomo, very nice and expensive place, Gucci, Ferre, Valetino, Armani etc...

The church where the Last Supper is, Santa maria delle Grazie had a 3 month waiting list so I didn't get to see it.

I spent the morning in Milan with some new friends who took me around and took photos of me in front of everything. Too bad they weren't with me my whole trip.

Modern Rome

The capital
The Borghese Museum which was beautiful, I was on a waiting list to get in but it was worth it.

Another popular monument close to the Spanish steps, sorry can't remember the name.
This is the campidoglio, the one of the stairs isn't as good but our naked David was at the top awaiting visiters.

The Trevi Fountain

Let's just face it, there is a lot to see in Rome and boy was I tired after two days of walking and walking trying to get it all in. I must say that I think I did pretty good. There are so many more pictures but these are some of the highlights. Next I will finish in Milan.

I love this picture. I got the whole of the old Roman Empire in Ruins.

I liked this shot too. It was all so amazing to me.

This is over the Tiber river, it is the Ponte Sant Angelo

And this is the Vatican .
In a couple of days I will post some more modern sights, the Piazzas.
